Milk Cake

Today I’m going to show you how to make milk cake for this recipe you need butter-sugar self-raising flour whole milk evaporated milk condensed milk whipping cream. eggs vanilla essence pistachios enjoyed rose petals.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 (13 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

I’m going to start off by creaming the butter until it is smooth then add in the sugar and whisk until it becomes light and fluffy folding the mixture using a flat spatula this helps create air then whisk again until it becomes light and fluffy. .make whipped cream. using the same technique again use a flat spatula to fold in the mixture now crack one egg at a time and add into the mixture combine all the ingredients well repeat this step for the five eggs fold in the mixture. now it’s time to add in the self-raising flour to add one tablespoon at a time and mix well then add another tablespoon until the flour is all incorporated.

This will prevent the mixture from losing the air that you’ve created now add one tablespoon of vanilla essence in 295 mils of whole milk give that a mix and add into the mixture once again fold in the mixture using a flat spatula the next step is to grease the baking tray with some butter now as the mixture into the baking tray and spread out evenly now bake in the fan oven at 180 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until it is golden brown now we’re going to be making the pouring milk to put on top of the milk cake.

so measure out 160 grams of evaporated milk and add that into a mixing bowl now measure 160 grams of the sweet condensed milk. and also add that into the bowl. now measure 160 grams of whole milk and add that into the bowl now measure 100 mils of whipping cream and add that into a separate Bowl. now add two tablespoons of icing sugar into the whipping cream whisk that until it becomes slightly thick but not too thick once he has reached his consistency add it into the pouring milk mixture now give that a quick mix and then pouring milk is ready once the cake is baked leaving the baking tray for a few minutes and allow it to cool down then transfer unto our wire rack and allow the milk cake to cool down

completely now it’s time to make the cream for the top of the cake so I’m going to be adding in the remaining whipping cream into a bowl then add in two tablespoons of icing sugar but this is completely up to you according to your taste mix that until it becomes creamy and thick enough to hold its shape now transfer the cake onto a tray now use a fork to poke holes all throughout the cake this will help the cake absorb the milk now use 3/4 of the pouring milk to soak the cake leave 1/4 of the milk for serving.

Now leave the cake in the fridge for one an hour until the milk has completely soaked up you can decorate the cake by either spreading a layer of whipping cream on top alternatively you can pipe on the cream which is quite popular at the moment you can also cut slices of the cake and make individual cakes you can place the piece of cake at the bottom of the serving box then add the whipping cream at the top and decorate by sprinkling chopped pistachios and dried rose petals on top lastly, before serving you can pour the remaining pouring milk on top of the cake.
